east seaton farm, arbroath
Moir Construction were delighted to be awarded the contract in providing new office premises for LM Porter and Angus Soft Fruits at East Seaton Farm, Arbroath. This was an office designed by local Arbroath Architects (Voigt Architects). The main office (new section) was a building of steel construction by Jackson Steel of Dundee but Moir Construction were engaged as Main Contractor and took control of all aspects of the build from the setting off of foundation pads for steel erectors, all groundworks associated with service connections and drainage and all internal works once the steel was erected.
Moir Constructions role as Main Contractor was to liase with all trades associated in completing the build and it was a pleasure (mostly) in dealing with the various suppliers and trades to complete this fabulous build.
The main new office section comprised of large open plan office areas with separate management offices and meeting rooms. It is only fair to share the plaudits with those third parties involved as well as our own staff and therefore to mention a few we had Esk Glazing supplying and fitting mezzanine glass balcony's and internal office sliding screens for management offices. We had feature Oak staircase to first floor and quality external front door and inner door by Seaton Joinery, Arbroath. Triple glazed windows throughout by Stevenswood. A good quality kitchen from Howdens. Air conditioning and ventilation from MB Services, Dundee. All electrical works by N Paton Electrical and washrooms etc provided by D Bramill Plumbing and Heating. All flooring provided and fitted by Whittons Flooring, Forfar. Alarms, security by Electrogaurd. We also must pay thanks to G Gall ames taping and K Teviotdale Painter and Decorator for completing the internals once complete. There were one or two others that were involved and although not mentioned they will know who they are and our thanks go out to them also.
The older section of this build was the existing stone built office section which was thoroughly renovated and redesigned to now provide new management offices. All of same sub contractors were involved with this project.
It was a pleasure being involved with this project and we wish all at LM Porter and Angus Soft Fruits all the very best in their new premises and we thank the owners and management also for their patience and perseverance throughout this build process.
